In the era of smartphones as we all know that everyone is tempted to go for the latest technology today. Somehow, manufacturers are tempted to go exactly the opposite with this new wave of mobile phones. Instead of trying to make them smaller and smaller they decided to go for bigger and larger devices.
This is probably the result of display technology in continuous development. These devices are used mainly capacitive touch screens and output and input. Customers are tempted to believe that the bigger the screen of a smartphone is, the better the experience you get. For unknown reasons seems that everyone forgot that the mobile phone must be gadget that fits easily into a pocket and always be comfortable to wear.
You have probably already seen the people on the street or at work talking with some devices that are almost the same size as a normal notebook A5. This is quite embarrassing because people are paying more for some less comfortable and less practical phone.
Blame it on the manufacturers and advertising they do because advertising is known to influence public opinion is more than I should have. The best example would be the girls who often end up in hospitals only because television said it should look like TV stars. The same is true here in the domain of smartphone and indeed in many other domains.
People should know that there are other devices with normal ways that are comfortable and practical, fitting perfectly in the pocket of jeans normal size. This product also has prices that often represent less than a quarter of a highly publicized smartphone.
Another important aspect is that a smartphone can handle chords regular daily smartphones to perfection with a 800 MHz processor only. Manufacturers are tempted to build devices with increasingly larger processors, simply because the repeat customer is impressed by these features due to the rudimentary notion that “bigger is better”. Yes, a quad-core really works faster, but a smartphone ever need such a processor because all smartphone apps are logically made for smartphones, no kerosene rocket-powered PCs. A smartphone with quad-core processor will get more than four times more money in your pocket than a smartphone with a single core processor at 1.4 GHz that can do the job, probably one second slower.
Another disadvantage of the great smartphones is the fact that the microprocessor uses a lot of processing power simply to provide high definition image of 800 x 400 pixels and performance still no better than a smartphone regularly with a processor smaller and display.
The most popular feature “wow” moment is 4G connectivity. It is understandable that people want this kind of compatible devices that hauliers promised 4G download speeds of 50 Mbps even. It would be a good improvement but there is also a problem with this function too. There are actually two problems, the most important second is related to the fact that a stronger connection will drain the battery faster, but this does not matter much. The biggest problem would be the fact that only some urban areas benefit from this type of network systems, and is a relatively new technology, so my recommendation would be to think twice before choosing a 4G device.
The point is that a small smart smartphone or regular sized phone yesterday, would make the buyer a smart buyer. This saves a lot of money, knowing that some of the highly publicized smartphone cost almost a thousand dollars, and speed will probably only one or two seconds slower because all the software that is optimized for smartphones is designed to work perfectly even in a cheap device. Another advantage would be portability or feasibility of the device due to a mobile phone even if you’re smart and do a lot of tricks, must be small and highly portable.
